My passion really lies in teaching students music through the horn and this is always listed as the "Objective" on my studio syllabus.  But through my years of teaching at the university level, I've realized it's necessary to teach more than Mozart and Maxime-Alphonse because in order to learn music, we  teach the musician. 

This area of my website will serve as a resource for teachers and student alike on the lessons I've learned and the things I'd like to share on ways we can be better informed teachers, better advocates to all of our students, and my repertoire-curious colleagues who want to branch away from the canon and into learning & teaching new repertoire by women composers.
